No but we do encourage you to inform your GP that you are considering treatment and we will write to your GP once we have seen you, with your permission.
Of course. It is a good idea to bring someone along with you, if you wish. We always have one of our nurses present when we see you so don’t worry if you want to come on your own.
At Perfecta Cosmetic Surgery we do everything we can to keep your risks to a minimum but as we will tell you in person, cosmetic surgery is not a beauty treatment and does have potential problems. We will go through these in detail with you before your surgery so you can carefully weigh up the risks and benefits for you.
This all depends on which procedure you are having done. Your consultant anaesthetist will explain the options in detail with you before your surgery.
People will know if you want them to depending on what you wear and how you project the new you and people will definitely notice you on the beach!
Most skin surgery is not that painful. Breast and tummy surgery is a little more sore. During the operation we use lots of local anaesthetic (to numb the skin) so you wake up comfortable and the nurses will give you painkillers to keep you comfortable whilst you are in hospital. Once you are ready for home we will discharge you with medicine to ensure you recover quickly and get back to your normal activities as soon as possible.
Fortunately complications are not very common. If you do have problems then we will look after you and ensure you get the best quality care. You don’t pay any more even if you need additional surgery or if you need to stay in hospital for a little longer. We want you to be happy with the outcome of your treatment.

Your initial consultation with a Perfecta Consultant Plastic Surgeon costs just £130.
This lasts 30 minutes and includes:
We offer regular Free Mini-Consultations at both Nuffield Health and Clifton Park Hospitals for people considering plastic and cosmetic surgery. These give you the opportunity to meet us for five minutes or so and also to have a look at the hospital. We can tell you about the options open to you and offer information to help you decide if this is the right choice for you.
These Mini Consultations are free and without obligation.
The price you pay includes all the cost of your care until you have healed. If you have a problem that requires return to the operating theatre, for example to treat a haematoma (collection of blood) or a wound infection, then this is also included. We want you to get the best possible result after treatment. If we are not happy with any part of the result and we think that we can improve it, then there is no extra charge. For example, it is quite common to get a lump at the end of a tummy tuck scar (sometimes referred to as a dog ear). If these are prominent then they can be corrected under local anaesthetic (awake) at no extra cost.
You will be seen as many times as necessary until you are healed and happy with the outcome. For most patients this means one or two dressing clinic appointments and one or two out-patient visits. We are happy to see you as often as you wish. There is no extra fee for follow-up care.
